December 2008 Vol. 4, Edition 43
'Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened'
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Thanks once again for your continued interest in my artistic gifts and passion for animals, travel and nature
(it’s a pleasure sharing photographs, drawings, egg carvings, urns and more)!
This hand scrimshawed powder horn will be a gift this Christmas to the dear sister of one of my most ardent art fans, so it seems fitting that I share it with you during this holiday season. On one side is a beloved pet Lynx named Scratch (note the natural heart below the lynx) and on the other is Spirit her cat. I placed them so she can hang the powder horn on a wall and reverse it to see each animal.
The recipient says, “Your reproduction of the images of Spirit and Scratch are wonderfully exacting and I know that my Sister will be thrilled!”
Once again for a time you can also see their pictures on my website home page, too.
Please feel free to pass my blog and website information on to others like yourself who enjoy my creations.
As always if you would like your Judith K. Nelson artwork spotlighted, please let me know. I would do a “special edition newsletter” just for you!
If you ever have any questions or might want to ‘brainstorm’, let me know.
