Want: (Webster) “To have too little of; be deficient in, lack…to feel the need of.”

Mr. Price encourages us to not confuse want with choose. He said when his wife, Jan, asked him what he wanted for breakfast, his choice was pancakes and he knew this choice wasn’t registered in the Universal Vibration as having too little of! Seems silly, doesn’t it, but…

The problem with wanting those things greater than pancakes, he says, is that we continue to experience deficiency and lack when we want anything. WHY? Because we are affirming lack and denying the Truth that we have already been given everything. So our mission is to CHOOSE rather than WANT!

The same applies to a sense of need—need whether perceived as real or just imagined simply attracts even more needs!! This is true due to the Law of Correspondence which provides that our feelings, thoughts and words, manifest corresponding conditions.

“How do we not want or need something when it’s staring us in the face and making threatening waves in our solar plexus?” he asks. We’ve either experienced personal challenges, or have heard so much about the economy, tight money, lost jobs, physical maladies or broken relationships that we actually seem to consider them the norm--AND they sure do seem real sometimes! In addition, to adopt a not-to-worry Pollyanna attitude seems a foolish denial of the facts.

SO what’s the answer? Mr. Price suggests that we merely stand tall and BE the Truth which would demand a consciousness of HAVE—which is the TRUTH. This is a firm statement to Law which we know creates the corresponding reaction, turning our personal world right side up again. It’s way more than a surrender or giving up, it’s a forward-power thrust in consciousness that helps us break though the web of illusion resulting in only peace and plenty.
